The Virtual Embassy of the United States in Vanuatu is a pioneer in a new kind of diplomacy. Much more than just a web site, the Virtual Embassy is a nexus for engagement, information sharing, and communication.
The Virtual Embassy strives to achieve much of the effect of an actual physical diplomatic mission, but without the building or permanent staff. This is accomplished by integrating a program of regular visits, media outreach, engagement activities (commercial, cultural, and assistance), and remote follow-up via e-mail, phone, fax, and digital video conferencing.
We want you to know who we are, how to contact us, and how to work with us to address your issues of concern. Sometimes you will see our staff in person, sometimes contact will be by e-mail or telephone, at other times we may meet with you via live on-line chats or by digital video conference. In the end, we will work with you to build a stronger partnership. We don’t need a physical building to accomplish that.
